Fill out the traditional application and let yer friends, parents and counselor review it. Like a magician, now you have it. Now you don’t.
The University of Buffalo made a big mistake, and now more than 100 students may not be able to afford to go to school. U.B. accidentally gave too much financial aid this year to 134 students, maybe more, and now those students will have to pay back anywhere from $90 to $12,000.

Thank God the election is finally over. If there is one more political TV commercial I just might pop. Now we can go back to viewing our regular TV commercials indoctrinated with drug ad pharmaceuticals.

1. Students do not read the directions carefully to make sure they understand what items are needed in order to complete their application. Recommendation:Before beginning the application read through it for understanding.

Parents of future college students diagnosed with Peniaphobia rooted in Didaskaleinophobia
During this season some people have confessed they have Samhainophobia, the fear of Halloween, or other scary things like Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia the fear of the number 666 and Paraskavedekatriaphobia the fear of Friday the 13th. Personally when I was younger the Friday the 13th movies did scare me.

Bridge the chasm between high school & college with a gap year experience

Golly-gee, Mom, Dad, I really want to (insert blank) after I get out of high school and before I go off to college. These may or not be dreaded words you desire to hear from your hopeful college student. A parent thought process might be finish high school, take a few weeks off and get into college and “get ‘er done.” Students might have a different idea.
So, what is a gap year? A gap year is the practice of taking one year off between high school and college to travel, volunteer or intern. (more…)

Protect yourself at all times and keep your guard up. We just got back from San Diego CA from a nice three-day weekend. It turns out that our car was targeted for theft. The villainous thieves drilled out the drivers side lock to obtain access to the interior of the vehicle.
