Words to avoid in your college essay

Students tend to use vague word when they are writing their essay as well as in the descriptions of the activities.
Don’t use vague words.
Word to avoid are:
- Many
- Numerous
- Frequently
- Various
- Countless
- or any other vague ambiguous word
Be specific. Don’t say “I helped at many carwash fundraising events.” If you helped fund-raise at five different carwashes, then say that.
